Screenshot capturing with Greenshot

The other day, while I was reviewing Stefan’s application,  I decided I wanted to take a screenshot of the application.

I decided to have a look around and see if there was a basic open source screen capturing program and with much delight I could find one.

Greenshot is very simple and compact application (400Kb)  that does what you are expecting from it. Take a snapshot and save it, that’s it.

There are more options available in the program (e.g. save directly to folder or send to printer), so you can decide your preferences. Generally speaking I think Greenshot will suit the 99% of my needs
