So, the news is out. QlikTech registered for IPO.
As we outlined in our previous post the company is looking to raise $ 100 million and plans to use $6.9 million of the proceeds to pay off debt and the rest for general corporate purposes.
We decided to have a look at the Security and Exchange Commission filings. The document reveals some interesting details about QlikTech’s financials in the past years.

In 2005 QlikTech had revenues for $ 24.4 million and reached $ 157.3 million in 2009. The below graphs shows the evolution from 2005 to 2009. Quite impressive.
I am not an expert in IPO documents, but I am always very amused by “legalese”. I am referring to the “Risk Factors” section where you can read things like this:
If we are unable to recruit or retain skilled personnel, or if we lose the services of any of our key personnel, our business, operating results and financial condition could be harmed.
