Introduction to QlikView Section Access

Gustav Guldberg from QlikView has just uploaded a very nice document on Section Access on the Share QlikViews.

We took the liberty to make the document more web-friendly. The document is very well done and thorough,  our sincere thanks to Gustav, we are sure QlikView users will appreciate!

Thanks for the info!! Nice document! Do you know if you can via section access put visible or not visible a particular object to a user??

Yes Sergio, but I personally would avoid going down that road as much as possible…

Security at Worksheet level is the lowest level I would recommend. Object level means you end up managing very complex access matrixes… really not worth it in my view.

regarding to the question from Sergio.
Is it possible that you can give us more details how such a complex access matrixes works?

Of course we want to avoid such a solution.
But for our understanding of QV it would be very good to receive more details.

How can I manage visible or not visible a particular object to a user??
Please tell me the procedure! I use QlikView developer 10.00.8715.5IR. Please help me.
